Ella Clark returns to Loughborough Lightning for another Vitality Superleague season

With Vitality Roses target attack Ella Clark returning to the franchise, loughborough Lightning have made their first signing of the year.
For Leicester Riders, Clark will even compete in a function that is athletic women’s basketball side during the new effort.
Having showcased in 2018 side that watched them pipped at the place from the Grand Final in 2 years and Lightning’s 2017, Clark will hope to play an integral part in the approaching season.
“It feels really great to sign up for Lightning for another year and I can not wait to get the season started,” said the 27-year-old.
“I’m hoping we can build on past year’s effort, we dropped a few important players moving into 2019 therefore it took some time to allow us to develop and adjust as a reasonably new squad so I’m anticipating continuing on that journey and pushing farther next year.”
Head trainer Sara Bayman is thrilled with Clark’s commitment and spoke in the squad of her significance.
“I’m pleased that Ella has committed to Lightning for another year. Despite playing with basketball as well this year, she was keen to stay in Lightning and I feel the 2 sports can really complement each other,” explained Bayman.
“Ella’s mix with different players at the attacking end enhanced throughout last season and her calmness helps the team in pressure situations.”
